Miriam Armstrong at Robotics: Science and Systems Conference

One member of our HFES student chapter, Miriam Armstrong, attended and presented at the 2017 Robotics: Science and Systems conference held last week in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Armstrong received a travel award to attend the third Women in Robotics Workshop at R:SS, and during the workshop presented a poster titled "Robots are Dehumanized on the Mechanistic (Human Nature) Dimension." Armstrong is a PhD candidate in the Texas Tech Human Factors Psychology program and is the HFES chapter president.

Brittany Neilson Awarded NASA TSGC Fellowship

Congratulations to chapter member Brittany Neilson for recieving the NASA/Texas Space Grant Consortum Fellowship for the 2017-2018 academic year. Neilson is a PhD candidate in the Human Factors Psychology program. This is her third time being awarded this fellowship.
