Congratulations to Trevor McIntyre and Michael Crites, who recently accepted internships at Google[x] and Honeywell, respectively. Trevor started his internship at Google[x] in Mountain View, CA in January. Mike will begin his internship with Honeywell in Minneapolis, MN this May. Good luck guys!

Our student chapter made a trip to Colorado in early January to expose our members to industrial, academic, and government locations that either utilize or teach human factors principles and methodologies. We visited Covidien, Ricoh, Alion Science & Technology, the Air Force Academy, and the University of Colorado, Boulder. 

Dr. Christopher Wickens visited Texas Tech in November to give a colloquium on his applied theories of attention. During his visit, Dr. Wickens attended lab tours in the Psychology and Industrial Engineering departments and gave a talk on the "New Statistics" at our weekly Human Factors chat. Students were also able to a talk to Dr. Wickens one-on-one at a student brown bag lunch and social hour.
